Call for translation assistance

OK all you ESL teachers out there, any of you know Alaskan? I’m trying to get the following paragraph translated into English:
You know, there is a very small percentage of Islamic believers who are extreme and they are violent and they do not believe in American ideals, and they attacked us and now we are at a point here seven years later, on the anniversary, in this post-9/11 world, where we’re able to commit to never again. They see that the only option for them is to become a suicide bomber, to get caught up in this evil, in this terror. They need to be provided the hope that all Americans have instilled in us, because we’re a democratic, we are a free, and we are a free-thinking society.
A prize to anyone who can make even a moderate amount of coherent sense out of this burbling gibberish.
The speaker, if you were wondering, is the person who might be president of the USA this time next year. Neo-cons everywhere are dancing in the streets, ululating “Yay! At last!! Someone who speaks our language!!!“

“Ululating”, yes I had heard of it, but had to check out the dictionary. Most of us folks around my neighbourhood settle for howling.

Lost me at ‘American ideals’. Are ‘they’ necessarily wrong for disliking ‘American ideals’? What are ‘American ideals’, and do the ‘ideals’ jibe with ‘reality’, American or otherwise? Are ‘American ideals’ democratic, or do they exist in a special place beyond the clutches of the demos? Maybe cognitive dissonance and too much free-thinking, and not enough critical thinking, accounts for the newspeak. After all, in the post-9/11/84 world, everyone has a democratic right to think and say any ol’ gibberish and ideally be respected for their ‘opinion’. Quack.

However, if that means that “we’re able to commit to never again”, then surely that means we’ll all live happily ever after, if only we can smash the Russians. I’m beginning to realise that the majority of people on this planet are insane…or at least brain-washed enuff to act like it. And plenty I thought were slightly crackers…or shall we say ECCENTRIC…are actually beginning to sound rational. Anyone who votes for this kooky bird Sarah Palin, who speaks in interview like a Thunderbirds puppet, has to be outa there friggin’ mind.
American ideals eh? Seems to me the American ideal is to CON to profit…& if you can’t con your way into someone’s home/country or bank account…then BLAST your way in. I think the Islamics are learning the BLAST part of it.

In one stroke he’s solved all my worries for the last half century. And all this time I thought it was ME who was insane.
And it’s a fact: the friggin’ world’s nucking futts! No other living species shits in its own nest and destroys the very environment from which it obtains life. Nothing else is hell-bent on mutual destruction but us, and no period of world governing history like this recent decade has seen us all so consistently lied to and raped up the arse with the loss of all the rights and freedoms that humanity fought for since the year dot.

lol…yea moody bugger…one moment playful, huggy, warm, curious, confident, approachable…the next grumpy, pissed, feral, roaring, prepared to fight, aggressive like i’ve got a thorn in my paw…or backside (probably my many physical pains & traumatic memories)…and I even like to hibernate & be isolated. That’s why so many of my mates called me “Bear”.
But much older now. Trying to wise up. Not live so much on instinct. But I still fight like hell when I decide to take a pathway & get ambushed. But learning to back out of situations w/out too many wounds…& sneakin’ the goodies w/ me….;)
and always working out how to change the landscape…& enter the dangerous areas w/ a better strategy next time.
and learning to respect other animals.

For a long time now, I have thought that sharing the same language (sort of) with the US is a two-edged sword.
There are advantages, but we are also exposed to the raw, unfiltered BULLSHIT that spews out of Washington and the American media. It pops up in our “news” shows or print media in the same way it engulfs the paranoid citizens of Fathead, Kansas.
