Hmmm…there seem to be some cool Catholics…& some real weirdos. Hanging out w/ dead bodies is not really my scene.
The idea of a dude who protests against the Roman Empire & corrupt High Priests and gets sacrificed for his efforts is also kinda cool…until you think about the brutality/sadism involved…
and the mentality of a GOD that would let his son be treated so violently.
Still, I guess there are plenty of people who send their sons into horrible situations.
But the thought of a dead dude rising like a phoenix sounds about as rational as people talking about seeing Bigfoot.

I lasped from Catholicism when I was ten, I walked down this long drive way from the ‘Borstal’ boarding school and hitched to town in a Series 1 Land Rover, then rode to the farm in the drivers /stoker section in a steam engine.Then walked the rest. Told the folk was not interested,was very stoic, they weren’t, then cruised through life enjoying the pleasures of the flesh and other great temptations, best move I ever made.
Thing is, the escape is the thing I remember, not the doctrine,says it all :).

Whilst I’m waiting for some suggestions from the music library we all know as Lang Mack I’m gonna post this interview with Jon Stewart from The Daily Show. Stewart is one of my fave Jews. He’s kosher.
Even tho I get pissed now & then & have a dummy spit over the producers of The Daily Show for letting the WAR CRIMINALS do the book SELL thing at the expense of Stewart’s integrity at times (tho he does sometimes blowoff fireworks under their arses)…I can’t deny Stewart & his team provide more depth, insight & irony than the so called “News teams you can trust”.
