Now that’s really going too far

Iraq’s former deputy prime minister, Tariq Aziz, has faced court on charges of genocide.

An Austrian dad has been arrested and charged with keeping his own daughter in the cellar for twenty-four years and repeatedly raping her, fathering seven children, three of whom were also incarcerated.

The controversy continues over John Yoo and his involvement in torture at Guantanamo.

A Frankston man has shot and killed his former girlfriend, in another example of killing one’s former wife or girlfriend, which is the Australian Way of honour killing.

A British teenager has just been jailed for life for beating a Goth girl to death for no reason other than that she looked Goth-y.

And Miley Cyrus has been doing some rather inappropriate photographs for Vanity Fair.

Guess which one of these miscreants has been made to issue a public apology.

Helen, wouldn’t you think Annie Leibovitz would’ve overdosed on all those spotty, crater-ridden bums by now?

Fancy Annie, legendary photograper that she is, enticing a NAIVE young lady to take part in such sinful nonsense…I tell ya!!!

The parents…or should i say parent company…must be outraged. How will Disney cope? Or Vanity Fair for that matter? I’m flabbergasted!!!

Thank crikey the Times & others were on top of this lowest of low moments in artistic history.

No story about government deceiving the American public into WAR nor article on torturing for the sake of FREEDOM shall come between an intrepid journalist & their need to deliver BOGUS news.

Onwards into that dark void shall these brave, intrepid reporters go.

Neither pain nor truth nor integrity nor privacy laws nor patriarchal angle nor pub in the day nor sliminess of project shall keep these scavengers from the swift delivery of their appointed character assassination rounds.

What would we do w/out them?

Surviving evangelicals luv ‘em…somebody has to.

    Public apology? Who cares?

Sometimes an apology isn’t good enough. Haul that Kate Sylvester person off to the gallows, I say!!!

A good example of just how barking mad this whole area of concern is getting was yesterday’s coverage in The Age. They described the photo of Hannah Montana’s 15 year old back as “sexually suggestive”, in text run next to the picture. Convicted of various state and Commonwealth offences by their own testimony, ‘twould seem.

Either that or the back of a nearly-legal-in-Australia lass isn’t really such a big fat hairy deal.

One might also note that those girls down in Texas were very modestly dressed. The only people who saw their nekkid backs were the 50 year old men getting them pregnant.

As for this SAD, SAD, SAD story, i’ve made some observations on Lav Prod, particularly regarding some biased comments made by a Times reporter & the MORAL PANIC that is ensuing.

It’s another case of “fan the flames” Madelaine style…foster fear & promote privacy intrusion by defining the tragic case as part of a National (Austrian) “look away society” problem…

yes, it’s best we all spy on our neighbors like in East Germany in order to supply the Moidoch & other media chains w/ lots of juicy stories & in turn, assist their political mates who like to help lower tax cuts & redistibute wealth to the highly influential, rich brigade.

Still, the ‘dumbed down’ public can’t get enuff of this stuff. It’s a great distraction from the nagging, headache producing questions such as:

“why haven’t they caught Osama Bin Laden & his 2nd in command yet?”…&

“Were the Busheviks involved in illegal torture activities?”…&

“Why was the evidence used to invade Iraq sexed up?”…&

“Why is the mainstream media focusing on character assassination by association GOTYA stories rather than REAL issues like Healthcare, Energy & Home Owner policies during this American Presidential election?”

And let’s face it…painting Soc Dems as NAZI sympathisers works so conveniently during these elections…a strategic attempt to push Obama & Hillary further & further RIGHT…& make McCain look even more like the appropriate candidate for a Floridian, New York etc. Jewish audience (tho i reckon many see thru this ploy…go for it ‘Daily Show’!)…

& of course it attempts to solidify News Corps credentials w/ that particular group, on the eve of a possible attack on Iran/Syria (?)…

as constantly mentioning the sins of Castro does w/ some of the Latinos in Florida/New York etc. (in order to garner votes for the Repugs).

And, I imagine it’s an effective way of shaking up the “protectionist” Austrian establishment…

let the fast food restaurants (”plastic food for plastic people” I once heard in a Graz, Vienna cinema…lovely place actually) & soda drinks & Big Pharma & other great American owned, Chinese/Vietnames/Phillipines made, products FLOW!!!!…into every nook & cranny of the usually idyllic Austrian community…so instead of drinking naturally brewed festival Bocks & other beers…the resounding cheer of “Prost!” will become…”Make it a Budweiser”.

You’d almost think they paid these loopy families/individuals to BS & commit crimes.

    Almost.

MONEY, SEX, DISTORTIONS & MORAL PANIC MAKE THE WORLD GO AROUND…the world go around…

Steady please!?Frankston is some territory I use to get around about in,so at least,I know some of the lay of the land. There is a ex-NZ. Derryn Hinch who was all abuzz about wether the cops were really as concerned as they should of been about the matters of that,61 year old,and his capacity to kill again, rape or whatever. Its hard initially to argue against him, because Derryn does have a sense of community, albeit filtered through his own self-worth as well as opinion.I dont think even the coppers not meeting his expectations, would have a real problem, with where that opinion emanates in him, even if, it is tagged by my references. The coppers,if they defend themselves too willingly, against his charge, are not helping themselves, because the claims by Hinch can still serve the Police dealing with this man.As long as, the due processes of law enforcement take place and justice. The details of this story alone make it impossible for me to formulate a means of staying within the context of the matters of apology.I doubt that the killer in the Frankston case, has really a legitimate right now to apologise to who and under what circumstances. And when it comes to ex-girlfriends,that wasnt my problem, nor never will be,if one sensed a depth now unrequitted.Shoot her confidence down, maybe, not her life and chances of survival and new relationships. After all if she is Australian at all ,the word bitch, and other expletives have been used in passing.
