Jihad for Jesus

Religion in all its many forms - - Posted on September, 19 at 12:28 pm by Tim

Wonder what the Pope thinks of these Christians and their views?

Pastor Becky Finch: I want to see them as radically laying down their lives for the gospel as they are in Pakistan and Israel and Palestine and all those different places.

Boy: You know, a lot of people die for God and stuff and they’re not even afraid.

Girl: We’re kind of being trained to be warriors, only in a much funner way.

    Dumbfounded and disturbed.

One day these kids are going to have their fingers on little red buttons attached to very real weapons of mass destruction.

And we’re meant to be scared by Islamic fundamentalists.

Those damn Christians and their current reign of evil terror and slaughter around the world. When will they ever stop?

  3. mark Says:

I think the pope would think this is awful. Protestantism, after all. But not as dangerous as that awful secularism.

“I feel like God wants me to run for President. I can’t explain it, but I sense my country is going to need me. Something is going to happen… I know it won’t be easy on me or my family, but God wants me to do it.”
    ~George Dumbya Bush (1998)

“George Bush was not elected by a majority of the voters in the US. He was appointed by God.”
    ~General William G. Boykin (June, 2003)

Not ‘indoctrination’, simply ‘providing meaning’ to a young, impressionable, disaffected kid’s life…

    You say potato…

  6. Robert Merkel Says:

Mg, as far as religion is concerned, I would be more than happy to call the whole thing off :)

  7. The Intellectual Bogan Says:

Well, that’s one of the more worrying film clips I’ve seen this year.

  8. Seeker Says:

I don’t even want to look at it.

  9. Ken Lovell Says:

Why don’t the leaders of the Christian community control this kind of behaviour?

  10. orang Says:

There was God telling Bush to be President, then The Pope with “Muslims bad”, now this. Perfect. It’s getting harder and harder to convince people that the vast majority of Christians are not rabid, bloodthirsty troublemakers.

  11. Alan Green Says:

orang: Christian Kerr was sewing the seeds for that exact meme in yesterday’s Crikey.

  12. orang Says:

    Outscooped again. Damn Crikey!
